Bio: MAC The Messanger was born in the tropical country of Guyana but was raised in the mean streets of Brooklyn. He is currently working on his first Album, "Believe In Me", which features the inspiring story of his struggles growing up in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn and how he came to find a better way. Rap was always a passion for MAC and while in high school, he started a rap group called "Brooknam". During it's existance, Brooknam entered several open mic and talent showcompetitions, including the Imani Talent Search 2000 Contest, in which the group took home first place.
At Johnson And Whales University, he started another rap group called "Blackmind Entertainment". He also found success on the bigger stage where he was a campus favorite. During his college years, MAC and fellow members of Blackmind Entertainment opened for such rappers as: 50 cent and Joe Buddens. During campus freestyle battles he would often hear from his peers, "Why are you in school, you have what it takes to make it in the industry?" However, being a focused individual he wanted to finish school. He did, receiving his A.S. and B.S. in Accounting.
In addition to MAC's on stage talents, he enjoys song writing. He identifies the message, composes the lyrics and develops the delivery for all his work. "I love the process of creating. I always start off with prayer and ask The Lord 'what do you want me to tell your people' then He gives me the message and while I'm on stage, I see the message being heard. I see people being motivated and inspired."
Mac has a dynamic stage presence. While looking at the audience during MAC's performance, you will notice a transformation taking place inside the souls of his listeners. He is no ordinary rapper. "I have a passion to inspire and motivate people - Helping people reach their full potential. Growing up in Brooklyn, I was surrounded by drugs and violence, but it doesn't mean i have to praise it. I'd rahter show listeners there is another way to life."
Why "Mac?" because he is a Man After Christ. Why The Messanger? Because he is God's messanger and his songs have a message that will pierce the hearts and last forever.
